Give Yourself A Fall Boost

Hello Libra Season!

Yes, that’s right… I’m a Libra girl through and through. I am so excited to step into another year of blessings and abundance, and I hope the same for you! This year I have doubled my income as a full-time entrepreneur, and I am definitely proud of my progress. I have to be honest with you though. I am, or at least was - TIRED. I was totally over it as of August and wanted to go on a three month vacation up until a few weeks ago. I don’t know if it was the realization that clients were waiting on my work and I needed to literally snap out of it, or all the manifestation podcasts I listen to that got me motivated. Either way, I decided enough was enough and I needed to revamp my business and my attitude ASAP so that I could feel the same excitement and fulfillment I felt before.

Now I want to help you do the same. Let’s face it, burning out is real and is actually pretty normal. Check out the following steps to help guide you into the most abundant season yet.

This Is Normal.

Yep, the first tip is to recognize that if you are feeling slow or “over it”, don’t beat yourself up about it. Being an entrepreneur is hard work and social media doesn’t always highlight the truth about the journey. Give yourself grace and remember that everything flows in seasons. There will be fast pace times, slower times, moments to rest, and moments to grind. The balance required in life applies to your business ownership journey as well. Everything won’t always be or feel the same, and that’s ok.

Declutter.

Now that you have acknowledged that you are not a failure, what steps can you take today to get back on track with your goals? The first thing I did was declutter. Cleaned out my closet, my home, my mind, and my business. This starts first by taking an honest look at yourself and your values. What is most important for your peace and happiness? What is the big picture goal and your “why” for starting a business? This will help you re-prioritize what you need to spend more energy on and aid in organizing your life. Consider the following journal prompts:

  1. What items in my home bring me joy, and why?
  2. What daily tasks create stress in my life?
  3. What am I most grateful for and what can I do to increase this joy?
  4. What are my top three priorities in life and what steps do I take each day to nurture these priorities?
  5. What can I let go of today to create more space for money, love, and success?

I go into more detail on this topic with Dr. Tracy Asamoah on one of my recent podcast episodes. Take a listen HERE

Ask For Help

Everyone’s favorite. The truth is, if you are feeling super overwhelmed you are probably growing at a very fast pace. This is good! Be proud that people see you and want to pay for your products and services. But with this growth comes the hard realization that you cannot and should not do everything on your own. There is a reason a store has someone on the floor selling and someone at the register checking people out. It’s hard to be everywhere and it is even more difficult to do everything well.

The temptation to save money is natural, especially in the beginning. The problem is that as you grow, it is not practical or sustainable. If you truly wish to scale and multiply your success each quarter, ask for help. This might mean you hire a business manager, personal assistant, cleaning company, hello fresh (not sponsored), or whatever else will help you save time and energy. When we invest in help we open the door to MORE. More time, more money, and more abundance. So even if you simply need your sister to help you with babysitting, just ask. You deserve the support and it’s worth it in the end.

Self-Care

It’s easy to get trapped in the mindset that self-care simply means putting a mask on at night each Sunday. Go for walks, drink water, blah blah blah.

But seriously, go for walks and drink way more water. The things that feel mundane are actually the things that get ignored most often and create loads of stress for people within their daily lives. When you have not planned your meals or have a simple yet healthy plan in place, you end up eating junk or spending too much money going out each day. When you don’t have the discipline or routine in place to exercise regularly, your running shoes end up taking an entire quarter off. These lifestyle habits have a large effect on your mind and body and therefore can also have a negative impact on your business. So take the time today to conduct a mini lifestyle audit. Does your day include the following:

  • Space to rest
  • Gratitude practice
  • Movement
  • Fresh air
  • A schedule (it can be flexible)
  • Well rounded nutrients
  • Frequent reminders to hydrate
  • Joy

If you’re missing one or more from the above, see how you can start implementing more of each little by little. Baby steps are still steps in the right direction.
